a "TREE" octopus, really?

In a series of cascading events – loony subscribed to BNET, which introduced Pharyngula, who talked a little about some Pacific Northwest Tree Octopus, which piqued loony’s interest “Is there really a dry land octopus?” and clicked the link…

Call loony a frog under the well but mann…! She was SUPER SHOCKED when she saw the real picture of this “is this real?” dry-land octopus.

loony pondered: How did the octopus get to live on the trees? But but but ain’t we all taught that octopus live under the deep dark ocean? (and maybe that’s why they’re so hideous?)

Then loony decided that the picture looks a bit fake, so she went to look at other pictures… and screamed! Tree octopus is mind-bogging enough, and now a *BLUE* tree octopus which frankly speaking looked like a soft plush furry toy being put there on top of the tree???
< style="FONT-STYLE: italic">Tree octopus species (especially the endangered Pacific Northwest Tree Octopus) are some of the most elusive creatures known to Man. Not many researchers have managed to photograph them in the wild and those few in captivity tend to hide in inaccessible corners of their cages, as if purposefully avoiding the prying of humans.“

loony is verrryyyyyyyyy suspicious of this entire set up. Then loony flashed back on how the hell did she come across this information at first place: BNET wouldn’t introduce Pharyngula if he’s a fake; and since Pharyngula is a reputable blogger he will not mentioned tree octopus if this info is fake ‘cos it’ll make him look stupid; then loony decided that this is after all a genuine information; then since this is a nearly endangered species loony decided to support the shoutout to save the tree octopus!

(Note to all men: This is not the ususal way women’s thoughts are processed)
(Note to self: Seeing are not necessarily believing. A dose of skepticism are healthy for thy mind)

SO, loony’s blog’s dearest readers and fans, please do your bit and support the blue tree octopus cause. All you need to do is to post the picture up and linked back to the website anyway.

dreaming in bangkok

I have strange dreams in Bangkok. They were all so real, especially the emotions and ambience.

First, I dreamed about my deceased grandfather. He was all smiles when he walked into a private dining room in a Chinese restaurant with a lot of people inside (I forgot if they’re relatives, or friends, or whoever. But should be relatives). And he walked straight to me and sat beside me. In an instant I was transformed back to a little kid & put my head on grandpa’s shoulder – A sudden feeling of warmth & safety surged through me. I nearly chocked on my own tears… And then I woke up.

d’Intepretation? To see your dead sibling, relative, or friend in your dream, indicates that you miss them and are trying to relive your old experiences you had with them. In trying to keep up with the pace of your daily waking life, you dreams may serve as your only outlet in coping and coming to terms with the loss of a loved one.

The next day, I dreamed about all my college/uni mates hanging around in a big room having so much fun1 It’s like we’re back to old times. I remembered Liz, Janet, Audrey, Chris, Rena, CC, and many more were there.

d’Intepretation? To see your friends in your dream, signifies aspects of your personality that you have rejected, but are ready to integrate these rejected part of yourself. The relationships you have with those around you are important in learning about yourself. Additionally, this symbol foretells of happy tidings from them and the arrival of good news.

To see your childhood friend in your dream, signifies regression into your past where you had no responsibilities and things were much simpler and carefree. You may be wanting to escape the the pressures and stresses of adulthood. Consider the relationship you had with this friend and the lessons that were learned.

Perhaps my subconscious is telling me to go down to Singapore and find that silly Nutty. hahaha.

nicole kidman, really?

>Usually when I got home from a big night out, a dreamless sleep will ensue. Not yesterday night though!

Actually this is the last part of my long-story-dream which I had. I remembered laughing out loud cos somebody in my dreams said something so incredibly stupid that I can’t control myself! And TWO of them! But I can’t recalled them, to my infinite sadness.(yeah, I’m a weirdo)

A conversation was going on when I “happened” into the room. There was the lovely Nicole Kidman, who was wearing a normal t-shirt & jeans, being herself (aka an actress) and one other guy, who was wearing casually too, but relationship unknown.

The guy was saying: “Ya know, it’s just so weird to do an intimate kissing or sex scene when you’re married. I mean, what will your spouse THINK, right?”

Nicole & I just gave each other a look. What an improper thing to say to Nicole, in so many levels!

Oh, you want to know my role there? I guess I’m her friend (or sidekick, never quite establish that).

Guess there’s no meaning to this stupid dream hahhaha

watson is FUN

While waiting for her crazy girlfriends to choose which face mask is better at Watson’s today, Loony got sooooo bored and therefore went to check out the shelves around, and managed to find something VERY INTERESTING

Firstly, Loony discovered that men come in three (3) sizes - 49mm, 52.5mm & 54mm!

Then, Ms. MooMoo found a… very… interesting… object: lighted. vibrating. condom. The million dollar question now is… how the hell did one use those? & it has a battery attached to it for goodness sake!

Lastly… is the most ingenious thing Loony has ever saw on a body shampoo for shinning skin. Yep, you read it correctly. shinning skin. What is more interesting is, they have 2 batches – one for shinning skin, one for shining skin. & luckily Loony took a picture to prove it!

FYI, the defination of shinning is… *drum rolls*
1. the front part of the leg from the knee to the ankle
2. the lower part of the foreleg in cattle
