The Value of Friendship

They say, you are a total sum of your friends. That is to say that the characters of your friends are a reflection of your own characters.

Let’s just be clear. There are many types of “friends” available out there – activities buddies, party folks, acquaintance, business partners, close friends, and the Best Friend Forever (BFF). One can have many of all the above except BFF. The quantity of BFFs one has very much dependent on the characters of oneself.

What are the values of friendship, specifically BFFs, then, you ask.

A BFF is someone who knows you, understands you, and do not judge you.
A BFF is someone who tries her best to be there when you need her.
A BFF is someone who will stand by you no matter how terrible you acted in a situation.
A BFF is someone who is willing to forgive you when you do her wrong.
A BFF is someone who you are not afraid to share anything and everything in your life.
A BFF is someone who you call the moment you run into a problem.
A BFF is someone who will tell you in your face their goddam honest opinion-even though you do not like it.
A BFF is someone who also shares anything and everything about their life with you.
A BFF is someone whom you can call anytime of the day to talk about your problems, no matter how little they are.
A BFF is someone who will scold you for calling her in the middle of the day when she’s working to complain about small matters.

A BFF is someone who is integral and central to your life, whom you share mutual understanding, compassion, trust, support, honesty and above all, love you instead of judging you.
