new feature discovered! dandyid

Ok, so I admit I’m not the most tech-savvy person in this planet. But ever since I had my own blog and used wordpress as a platform, it is literally a whole new galaxy of exciting new discoveries for me! I can still the frustration I had when I first set up this blog, and have 0 knowledge on how to change the appearance, widgets, and very importantly the widgets. Now of course I am smarter la… haha…

So, I’ve been dying to add the cool links most people had in their blogs that showed their selected social media profile so that people can follow them. It’s just that, in between jetting to Singapore, no internet connection due to delay payment, and laziness, I didn’t manage to get to the first ‘how-to’.

Today, I got plenty of time. So I googled around and try to find out what is the best option, and most of them point to ‘DandyID’ plugin. So I went to check it out and discovered that it’s a cool website that will link with approximately 330+ social media profile! They covered a lot of social media sites which I’ve never even heard about. In any case, the ‘DandyID’ plugin is an awesome plugin that can retrieves all your preferred social media sites and displayed them as clickable links in your website sidebar.

The only thing is, you’ll have to sign up as a user for ‘DandyID’ and then go to the ‘Identities’ function to update your sites. They also offered a free feature verifying the authenticity-very cool…

According to DandyID, my social rank is 65 – as expected, I only have a social rank of Silver… =(

Ahh… no matter, all that count is that I’ve DONE IT!! WOO HOO!!!! *gives herself a pat on the back*
