I discovered that I can’t change the settings from ‘Plain Text’ to ‘HTML’ when I tried to reply an email from Outlook this morning. And it annoys me very much because I hate replying in Plain Text – blame it on my works-on-strictly-occasionally-perfectionism. Or narcissism. I believe the font type you chose and the colour and the way you write an email reflects greatly what type of person you are.
Just like, I hate it when I received an email with colourful, different sizes and worst of all-different font types!!!! The same goes for people who cannot tried to use some cute fonts in their signatures.
I digress. As I was saying, the fact that I can only write in plain text and my Calibri is now 12pt instead of 11pt irked me to no end. I reboot my outlook and I got a pop up saying “Word2003 is not your default email editor anymore. It is either corrupted…”
So I went to open up a blank word document and… yep… I can’t type anything on the blank word screen. Perfect.
Instead of relying on the already scarce IT support personnel, I googled for a cure and wa-la! This perfectly simple and commendable instructions came out from this website: http://bit.ly/5aIovV
All it takes is to rename a “normal.dot” app. Awesome eh?
After you follow her instruction, all it takes is to double check the Tools/Options section of Outlook and you are done! Hurrahs for HTML email editing!!!
Thanks Linda.
